Yunnan Nationalities University (YNU) is a higher education institution and is a multi faculty university which caters for all ethnic minorities as well as Han Chinese. YNU was founded on August 1, 1951, and is located in Kunming, a beautiful city with mild weather all year round. YNU is a provincial key university, jointly established by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and Yunnan Provincial People’s Government and is one of the earliest nationalities universities in the People’s Republic of China.
